MARCHing into 2015 Made 'n Thornbury Craft Markets

Excuse the very obvious pun in the title ! But, we've begun.....

It's always a treat to get back to our humble hall and fill it with beautiful handmade, talented stallholders, craft table and amazing food and coffee.  Friday night was no exception.

Yes, Melbourne's weather was a little unpredictable, but inside the hall was cosy and filled with handmade and hand-produced.

A big thank you to our very talented stallholders,  TWNH COM and staff, our happy shoppers and most importantly, our energetic and dedicated volunteers - we couldn't do it without you !

Delicious food and coffee provided by the equally lovely, CakeDayAu and Little Box Brownie.

Beautifully locally made jewellery, gifts and homewares :

Catherine Ward, Millie 'n Daisy and Lovely Lady Lamps.

Erika Vella, Wild About Melbourne and Liz and Bob Designs.

Handmade by Rebecca, Bee One of A Kind and Gus and Kitty.

And the good news is, we'll be back again on SATURDAY MAY 2ND 10am - 2pm.
Just in time for Mother's Day !

"Another tool in your tool box" : KEEP Craft Your Business May 2014

"Another tool in your tool box"  is how Liz from Betty Jo Designs, eloquently described adding an online store to your market stall at our KEEP Craft Your Business workshop on May 31st.

The topic of the day was Selling Online. The aim of the day was to equip our participants with the skills and confidence to open their own online shop.

We discussed different platforms, including bigcartel, etsy and Australian site madeit.com.au
The importance of promoting your own store through social media was also discussed at  great length.

Fourteen local handmade business women, all Made 'n Thornbury Craft Market stallholders, took part in the workshop. Lively conversations took place during the day, especially at the delicious communal lunch.

It was decided in one of these conversations that the next KEEP CYB workshop would be dedicated to social media. We have set the date as July 19th. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

A big thanks to Liz, our Make Craft Your Business facilitator - Dee, and the women who attended the workshop.
